‘Pershore Abbey from the River Avon’ original painting

This is the River Avon near the old bridge in Pershore, Worcestershire looking across the fields to the Abbey. Painted in-situ, it was a bit cloudy but this allowed the soft  light gold and purple colours of the grasses to show. It was such a peaceful place and that’s what I tried to convey in this painting.
Painted in acrylics on paper with palette knives. Framed in soft grey wood effect frame. Measures 9x9in with frame.
