‘Spring Floods’ original painting from the Malverns Sunset Series

‘Spring Floods’ is from a series of four paintings called the Malvern Sunset Series. Each depicts a sunset in a different season and is inspired by the view from my house across the Vale of Evesham  over to the Malvern hills. 

If you look closely you can see the lights twinkling from the houses on the hills. Colours from the sky are reflected in the wet flooded fields. Lots of lovely textures were created in this acrylic painting by using different tools to apply layers of paint and tools to scratch through the layers to show the colours underneath.
