** SOLD ** Rain Over the Malverns - Original Oil Painting

'Rain Over the Malverns' is a very atmospheric painting of the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire that I painted from a fabulous photograph by John Hancock (Insta @johnhancock.co.uk) who tells me he got very very wet shortly after taking this photo! I particularly enjoyed painting those ominous rain clouds and the texture in the rocks which was achieved with oils and cold wax painted with a palette knife. You can see the rain coming down in the distance and a little glimpse of sunlight lighting the path on the ridge of the hills.
 
The photos show some close ups of the brushwork in the sky and the texture in the rocks. I have also included some mock up of it framed and hanging in a room.
 
The painting is oil on acid free heavyweight paper and measures 16x12in it is supplied unframed for you to choose your own frame. Contact me if you would like me to supply a frame. £250 including UK P&P
