Abstract Florals in Acrylics Art Workshop
Abstract Florals in Acrylics - Art Workshop
Sunday 31st January 2027 10am-4pm at Cropthorne Village Hall, Cropthorne, Nr Pershore Worcestershire (WR10 3NH).
Explore a more intuitive and expressive approach to painting flowers in this acrylics workshop. Rather than worrying about getting every petal just right, we’ll be creating loose, colourful, floral-inspired paintings full of energy, texture and spontaneity.
We’ll start by building an abstract underpainting using a variety of tools and techniques, embracing drips, splatters and unexpected marks to create an interesting foundation. From there, we’ll develop our paintings through layers of colour and texture, simplifying shapes and rethinking negative space to create bold, lively compositions.
Along the way, I’ll share my tips for keeping your marks loose and expressive, creating depth and interest, and using unexpected tools to achieve intriguing textures. You’ll be encouraged to trust your intuition, let go of the need to control every mark and discover new ways of expressing yourself through paint.
The focus is on experimenting, having fun and allowing your own style to emerge, creating floral paintings that feel fresh, loose and uniquely yours.
Coffee and tea and biscuits provided throughout the day, please bring your own lunch.
Maximum of 10 people. Participants must be 18+
